Information collected
When you submit the contact form, VIT Solutions collects the name, email address, company, enquiry area and message you provide. A salted hash of the connection address and browser identifier may be stored for abuse prevention; the raw values are not retained in the enquiry record.
How information is used
Contact information is used to assess and respond to your enquiry, maintain an appropriate business record and protect the website from misuse. It is not sold.
Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form and WordPress login use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Turnstile is validated on the server before a submission is accepted. Cloudflare may process technical information required to provide that security service.
Storage and access
Enquiries are stored in the website’s MariaDB database. Administrative access is restricted to authorised WordPress users. Production hosting should use encrypted connections, least-privilege database credentials and encrypted backups.
Retention
Enquiry records should be reviewed periodically and retained only as long as required for business, security and legal purposes. The final production retention period must be confirmed by VIT Solutions before launch.
